15 years of building education from the inside.
Mammoth Club didn't start as a platform. It started as one engineer teaching nights and weekends. We built the platform we wished we'd had, then opened it to everyone.
John Bura starts teaching
Founder John Bura begins teaching programming nights and weekends, first in person in Calgary, eventually online. The pedagogy that becomes Mammoth Club is sketched here.
Mammoth Club is founded
The company is founded around a single thesis: tech moves too fast for slow education. The first courses ship: game development, web fundamentals, intro to programming.
1M courses sold
The catalog crosses the 1M-course mark. The team begins building the proprietary LMS that still powers the platform today.
Library licensing program
Mammoth Club opens the Global Library Licensing Program, a Canadian alternative to LinkedIn Learning at a fraction of the cost. 200 libraries sign up in year one.
CoursePro AI ships
We rewire the authoring stack around generative AI. Course production time drops 8x, while editorial standards stay where they were. The AI Tools track launches alongside it.
9M courses / 150 countries / 1,400 libraries
The platform serves individuals, teams, and institutions on every populated continent. The team is 84 people across editorial, engineering, and learner success.
