Description

About this course.

Obstacle avoidance is the first instinct every autonomous robot needs — the ability to sense the world and react without being told what to do. In this course, you will build that from scratch.

You will wire up infrared sensors, write a Python controller that reads them in real time, and watch your robot navigate around obstacles entirely on its own.

What you'll accomplish:

► Understand how IR sensors detect and measure distance in simulation

► Set up a complete sensor array on a real Webots robot

► Write a state machine controller that makes decisions autonomously

► Tune and debug your robot's behavior using live sensor output
